Mathematical analysis and optimal control of Schistosomiasis Transmission model

Schistosomiasis, a health challenge in many communities, is prevalent as the rate of infection one every thirty individuals. In this work, deterministic model for schistosomiasis transmission dynamics studied. The stability properties equilibrium states, disease-free and endemic equilibria are established terms basic reproduction number, R_0. sensitivity analysis R_0 with respect to parameters carried out using Partial rank correlation coefficients (PRCCs). optimal control measures, public education, diagnosis treatment snail control, formulated its optimality system derived Pontragyin's maximum Principle. Simulation results showed that simultaneous implementation will reduce burden population. However due toxicity some controls other aquatic bodies difficulty single chemical focus only on population even though snails special food Africa, it preferable implement education simultaneously order eradicate affected regions.
